What is Project Management?
Project management is the use of specific knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to deliver something of value to people. That project could be developing a website, creating, and hosting an event, helping a business achieve regulatory compliance, developing an online course or a training program, building a structure, or marketing a specific product or service. Projects are made up of the actions you take to reach a specific goal. They all have a beginning and an end, and they are all unique.
They also tend to have a lot of moving parts.
Your time is valuable and should be spent on things only you can do, not on spreadsheets and chasing people down to see who has done what.
As your project manager, I handle all those details, create plans, break big work into manageable actions, track progress, let everyone know where we are and what we need to do next so that the work moves from “doing” to “done”. My job is to make it easier for everyone to do their work.
